Turn Signal wire gauge?

Anyone know what gauge wire the turn signals use? The reason I am inquiring is because I wanted to tap the 3 signal wires to use LED lights around the front air scoop as running light and turn signal. I wanted to use T-Tap connectors to tap the wires, but I don't know what gauge the wires are? The t-tap comes in different gauges (14-16, 18-22, 10-12 gauges). don't know which one to buy.

I cringe every time I see the term T-tap. I would highly suggest soldering and using shrink tubing or a good electrical tape. Strip about 1cm of wire insulation away then solder your new wire to the OEM wire. This is the best way to do any electrical connections, anything less, I would consider unreliable.

And there is absolutely no need to use 14-16awg wire for turn signals. You should use 18-22awg. It's low current and a short wire length.
