Throttle response

Here are my TPS numbers... my closed throttle reading seems to be fine, however my WOT reading is a ways off... Not sure if the JB Pro has anything to do with that.

I have yet to have any fault codes so I should be fine.

Page 8-41 in Service Manual:
Check in the diagnostic mode (Code No. D01).
When throttle is fully closed: A value of 14-20 is indicated.
When throttle is fully opened: A value of 91-95 is indicated.
If the indication is outside of range: Replace the throttle position sensor.
Refer to "CHECKING THE THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR" on page 8-92.

Think that means you need to adjust your throttle cable. You aren't actually seeing WOT with its current travel. Free HP awaits you :)

We will know 100% once kdubb adjusts his cable and reports back.

If he doesn't, its a really easy test to tell.

1. put the bike in TPS diag.
2. WOT it and write the reading down. Do it a few times to insure a consistent reading.
3. Adjust the throttle either tighter or looser.
4. Repeat above and you will know 100%.

Id recommend if your TPS is already reading at 95 to obviously go looser. If someone gets a chance to check this before me, please post back your findings

I will be retesting it soon guys. I didn't think about it until now but I tested with the handle bars turned all the way left... Just like when adjusting the throttle free play you have to test with the handle bars straight and lock to lock. will be testing again with wheel straight. Also might adjust my idle speed.

I am interested in seeing other owner's results. :D
