This was the 30th year for the event. I have been going the last 25. Riding around that island is like going back in time 50 years. The scenery is fantasic.

That makes it even better, you fit in a little more.Everyone has seen a r6 already.I got a kick out of the old Ducatis tho, any favorites you had in person?Wher is this event?I meant to google it last night, but im being lazy, and others might be wondering. It might be a cool weekend trip next year for anyone within 12 hours.
Nestled in the "Heart of the Sound" with views of water or mountains at every corner, Vashon-Maury is truly an Island. It can only be reached by a breathtakingly beautiful ferry ride. There is something magical about being on an island, the pace is slower, the people friendlier, the attitudes relaxed and our patchwork of pastoral and natural settings make it a refreshing Northwest getaway. Vashon Maury Island Island Chamber of Commerce welcomes you.

With 45 miles of shoreline, Vashon Maury Island boasts the majority of waterfront property in King County. The Island is approximately 13 miles long and 8 miles at the widest point with a year-round population of about 11,000. Whether you are looking for a quiet, romantic place to relax or activities for you and the entire family, Vashon has it all! Check out our "Events" page to see what is happening now. Through our "Business Directory" you can find interesting places to stay, quaint shops to visit, an eclectic mix of restaurants, local galleries, historical sites, musical concerts, places to hike, bike and enjoy outdoor activities. Could this be your heaven on earth?

It sounds like a great vacation for sure.Next year you will have to make a "girls of Isle of Vashon TT" slideshow to convince some of us that its paradise on Earth lol.

It does seem like a pretty cool place tho.Do you have to commute on the ferry for work? Not that it would be a bad thing. On rainy days I would love to have a way to bypass the freeway and only ride through town.
The folks that live on the island have to take the ferry every day to get to work if they don't work on the island but I live in Tacoma and take the Point Defiance ferry to get there. It is a cool place for sure.:)
