Swimming pool pump went out!!

I need advice on 220w 2hp in ground swimming pool pump's.I don't know a thing about electrical motor brands like this....I found this pump in the link on the net.Is this a good brand?....Which is the best?...I want to be able to leave it running 24-7...any help will be appreciated!! Have you tried beating on it with a hammer? That's always the first thing you are supposed to try!





I know nothing about pool pumps, except they don't suck, they blow.

ya thats a decent pump brand, iv used them for irrigation systems and iv seen alot of pools use that brand. im an electrician too so just make sure u hook it up right and use a decent timer to run it. but to answer ur question yes its a good brand

LMAO...I did beat on with a hammer!!...i'm going to take it appart when I get home later..it will hum now after I left the switch off over night..i'm hoping it's just a bearing.
