Short video creation request

Hello!

To our video/graphic creation guru's here, I was wondering if I could get some help. I am looking to create a youtube intro and I have an idea of what I would like, but I have NO idea how to create something like it.

My youtube ID is currently tiger98011, but am going to be transitioning it to MNGreg to match all my forum names. With this my idea is:
A wavy screen (kind of like a flag flapping in wind) with a picture/outline of the state of MN, with my name coming out of it.

The MN being replaced by the map like picture of MNs shape. Looking for about say 3-5 seconds I think.

I also have no idea how to put something like that together, but if anyone has experience building those kinds of intros, please post info here for everyone.

def more advanced than anything I have done....

im sure if you paid for some top of the line vid software it should not bee too difficult.

Looking at possibly buying the Adobe Premier Elements 11, as I am getting sick of Windows Movie Maker and want a little more capability. I do have Adobe Elements 4, but does not support the format the Drift records in, where as 11 does (per the free trial).
