Rear fairing removal

Poke them in the center (the small Allen Key is about the correct size for the center) and they will release themselves,
pull the whole thing out (washer as well) at once.

To reuse them
push the center back up so that it is proud of the washer.
Place in the hole and push the center flush with the washer

Dont forget the screw washer under the front seat!
Good luck, enjoy the proceeds of your labour!

Remove the rear seat with the key.

you will see 2 screws holding the rear grab rail on. remove those.

Under the front seat where the fairing goes under you will see one more screw (plastic) remove that.

Then look under the fairing you will see 2 plastic "rivets" press the middle about 4mm and the thing will pop out. do both and it will all come off in your hand

Remove tool bag ( if fitted) you will see 4 screws holding the fender on.

also there is another (rivet thing) holding a cover over the wires...

make a note of the wires and removed the 4 bolts.... fender should fall off in your hand.

Rebuild in reverse.

Sorry I have no pics but it is obvious when you look under the seat

oh cheers mate. Yeh i know exactly what you mean. Had a crack at it last night and a bit stumped as to whether i should be removing the fairing or not.

Did you just take of the grab bar using the small alan key and by hand or did you have an attachment for it?

Edit:

I actually just got it off. They were stubborn last night... although i probably shouldn't have been trying it at 12am lol

The extender bar in the tool kit is helpful when bolts are stubborn
-just ensure the allen key is square to the bolt when applying extra force!

Yeah I actually have a set of sockets that have the allen head thingys attached af various sizes.... a nice peice of pipe can also help if an allen key head bolt ls tight
