Just hit 12,000 miles and adjusted it. It was out by just under a 1/4 of an in. But after reading 99's post about adjusting it to the lower end of the specs to get smoother shifting I had to do a real close look to see where I was at.

I have been checking at every oil change and it hadn't stretched much (was getting close to upper specs last check but still within), I also do mostly commuting, riding in the 6-7k range, so that might have something to do with it, not a lot of stop and go or ripping through twisties (except weekends for 4-6 hours).

Im 8300 miles and have adjusted it 4 times. Im just picky Keep it cleaned and lubed well and you shouldnt have to do it too often. Just keep an eye on the slack.

Ditto to what the two above me said. Keep it clean and lubed. Check it when you lube it. I adjusted mine twice, initially after about 1k miles and then last week, after 15k miles. It you take care of it, it will take care of you.
