Premium Membership vs. Donation

Whats the difference? Money goes to the same place doesn't it?

And what are the "extra benifits" given to members with premium memberships?

Also if one spends the $$ to become a silver member does the cost come down to "upgrade" to a gold member??

Donations are a one-time monetary contribution to the site and earn you a gold bar. Whereas a membership can be set up as a recurring monetary contribution to the site and will get you a special banner under your screen name that indicates your membership level.

Some of the added benefits include being able to upload more photos, have more PM's, reduce the amount of off-site advertisements, etc.

And I think if you got a silver membership and wanted to go to a gold membership, you would only need to cover the difference. But I could be wrong. :don'tknow:
