HJC helmets are DOT approved. So at least it started out with approval. I'm sure they'd frown on the mask being added.

Actually, he likes Star Wars but he's not a huge fan. I think he paid just over a grand for the suit, but they made it for his exact size and specs.... and he's just over 6 1/2 feet tall. High quality armor everywhere you'd expect.

We actually rode to a big bike meet (just posted Blessing of the Bikes on my youtube channel) and all these people wanted to get their picture taken with him. Video of that coming in the next couple days, promise guys. Been busy with work / garage stuff / riding... mostly the good kind of busy

I like these riding costumes so much more than a video I saw once of the Burger King King riding around! Atleast thes look like armor.. Would be cool to add the storm trooper stuff to gear though.

That stormtrooper suit is made by UD Replicas and has CE armor in all the right places. It is fully functional and protective motorcycle gear. The scout trooper doing the wheelie is just in costume. The OP's friend is well protected.

A while ago I saw that UD had Tie Fighter pilot gear too, was very similar in appearance to the CF costumes shown earlier in this thread but actual riding gear versions, very pricey though. Bob Fett or Speeder Trooper win my vote anyday

Correct! That helmet on the other hand.... he wears that only on short trips. Visibility is nill.
