It's very difficult to search for the pics of the bars, titles don't really have the info, so if you could please post pictures of your FZ1 bars I would appreciate it!!

Has anyone found or ordered black ones?

There is no rise. They are only bent on one plane, and that is it. Very simple bars.

I think OP meant FZ1 bars on FZ6R.... but FZ1 bars on an FZ1, I like it

Been riding a lot of other people's bikes lately... mostly they have clipons. Personally, I think I might like the position better. If I don't, I'll go back to stock, not a big deal.

Don't get me wrong, I got this particular motorcycle because it was smooth, comfortable, and great for both commuting and long days out. I definitely did not want a supersport. However, I have long arms and legs and think I might like this. I'm sure some people want the looks or they want to feel more like they are on a supersport without some of the other drawbacks. To each their own.

price... cheap bike to customize...

since this bike lies somewhere between an SS and an ST, you can either lean it more towards SS, or ST... I chose ST... never wanted a SS, but didn't want to start on a big ST either, so this bike was the right choice for me
for $6k OTD plus my own customizations, I have a baby tourer... some people want a baby SS.... to each there own...

granted, it will never be a full on SS or ST... but it's a nice compromise with the price (purchase, maintenance and insurance)

Problem for me lies in 2 up riding, my wife will not be able to ride w/ me on a gixxer or zx6r or r6, so I have one of two options, make this one more aggressive, or deal with it.

Personally, I just wanted it a little lower for better body positioning. With FZ1 bars in the forward position, I find it more natural to set up for turns, but it's not as radical as a SS. It's a personal thing. I wanted it sportier, but didn't want a SS.

I don't get why most people put looks and sound over performance, but to each his own.

I personally think the bars on the 6R look awful which is one reason why I want clip-ons, another reason is slightly better position. I don't wanna lay on the tank and with 1.5" riser clip-ons the position is still somewhat similar to the stock bars. I have mine forward and rolled back for comfort. I have severe carpal tunnel in both wrists and need surgery soon. Actually seems better not quite sitting up straight. I didn't have the money for a SS nor the experience and honestly love the 6R for now, but as you can see by my mods I want it my way. After my surgery and a year or so from now I may move to a SS, but for now I'll trick out my 6R.
