Painting the "power crystal"

Just wondering if anyone has painted that decorative power crystal above the headlamp? I'm thinking black to match the rest of my bike. Might give it a more aggressive, less- "Transformor-ish" look. What do you all think?

Option 2 is paint it black but have a clear section with a red L.E.D. lightstrip programmed to move slowly from side to side. A nod to KITT from Night Rider (the original!)

If you do that you must install a Turbo Boost button.

LOL! That would fit nicely in that fake button next to the turn signal. Kinda like that "on" button to operate the blower in Mad Max.
