Had to order up some stuff for the bike today. I need to do my oil change and also clean and re-lube my chain. I also need to pick up a bottle of kerosene to clean the chain with but I can get that pretty cheap locally.

I've been getting tired of walking the bike through the yard while spraying the chain... It's a royal pain in the butt! LOL.

Let me know how that chain lube works out, motul is good stuff. I'm sick of spraying my chain and getting the excess all over my wheels and the cement.

I've got the same stand... Bulletproof. It'll outlast your bike -- and the next one -- the next one, etc.

I use Motul cleaner, but I use PJ1 Blue lube. No fly off, dries relatively quickly, and does the job...

I've used it before, it's really good stuff. There is really no need to wait to use the bike after putting it on. Just put it on nice and even/smooth with no excess and you are good to ride.

I like the brush as it allows me to work in into the chain nicely and there is no mess at all no matter what.

I had a good stand back in the day but when I had sold my old CBR years ago there was no need for a stand anymore, so I sold it with the bike. That and I was moving back to florida so I didn't want to take anything extra with me...

I liked the old one but this one will do quite nicely. I like that it's nice and tight around the base of the tire thought I would really like it if the handle was removable but this model doesn't have that option, though I could easily just cut the handle and insert a rod and then good to go but I probably wont have a real need for that.

Ive been using the Motul Chain clean and Motul Road chain lube aerosol can. Ive never had an issue with fling-off.

My trick to cleaning/lubing is this.
1.Tare about a 4 or 5 inch wide 1 ft tall piece of cardboard from whatever you can find.
2. Get the bike on the rear stand.
3. Slip the cardboard between the chain and the rear tire. ( i typically angle it just a tiny bit so its kinda resting against the tire/exhaust. ) When you spin the tire in the normal direction of travel, it leaves the cardboard stationary.

Now you have a nice little backstop to prevent all the spray/shit from hitting your wheels and tires. If you throw a rag or two at the base of the cardboard, it will catch everything from oozing onto the floor.
