Oilfield work

does anybody here do any oilfield work in any way shape or form.

from office to rig hand just curious what jobs us bikers have out there.

I will start----

I am a Senior Piping Designer. anything between the wellhead aka pumping unit to the sales line past the DEHY facility we will design and provide drawings for construction (also provide sizing, stress, structural) . Although we do it all my firm specializes in thermal piping systems.

I'm the Kuparuk field construction electrical and instrumentation material coordinator. I work on site with the trade general foremen to make sure they get the material ordered by the engineering firms for the various projects, as well as procuring any shorts or change orders that arise. I work a two week on, two week off schedule. On my two weeks off, you won't see me on the forum much when the weather is nice, like it is now. I'm out riding!

so do you work in water treatment?

I took water treatment and got certified years ago but never practiced have not kept up with it all since outdated im sure.

Yep, Certified operator. We have 3 plants for our system. 1 operator per plant per shift. Makes for a quiet night at work, especially since I work midnights.

That's pretty sweet. at one point I worked for the engineering at the Kern County Water Agency engineering department it was there where I was talked into taking the operator classes and such. but I continued with my design path and it has paid out!.
