new phone

so, I'm in the process of switching my number over to my new phone... republic wireless, moto G 16G phone!

I've found an annoyance and it jumped out at me within the first few seconds of setting the phone up... I know I can learn to live with it... but... WTF do the new android phones put the return / back key on the left and does anyone know how to move it back to the right? I mean, I can learn to live with reaching across my screen to hit it EVERY SINGLE TIME I WANNA GO BACK, but.. why... why did they move it... and apparently, it's been that way for a few years, I don't upgrade often obviously... and mostly because of this new mentality that some sw engineer, in who knows what part of the world, thought it would be cute to just randomly move buttons without offering the options to move it back.

other than that, pretty nice phone and really cheap service

I think I got you beat...

I just upgraded from an old Motorola V60 flip phone. I had that phone for 10 years, and liked it a lot. The only reason I stopped using it was because some of the buttons stopped working (including the on/off) button.

I hate my new phone also, but I did get one with bigger buttons and a bigger screen so its easier to see.

Just curious, Dart, do you have to use your reading glasses to read your text messages, yet?? That was one of those "moments" (for me) when the reality of getting older really set in...

I still need to get a pair... but, so far, no I can still read my phone... just have to hold it away a bit...

Reminds me of when my parents got their smartphones last year. They kept their previous phones for years and never bothered to upgrade until their phones actually started to deteriorate. My dad figured out his new phone pretty fast but took my mom forever to send her first text message.
