New FZ6R couldn't be happier

Hello forum members!

I'm 17 years old and just picked up my first 600cc bike. I started off learning how to ride on a 1978 suzuki SP 370 sold that and rode a 2007 kawaski ninja 500r all last season. This past weekend I picked up a 2011 copper red FZ6R and absolutely love the bike. The sad part is i won't be able to ride for a few months untill the weather gets better. So in the mean time I plan on doing a few mods and customization. Any suggestions?

maybe some FE and flush mounts, new clutch and brake levers,
better yet man, just search fz6r on ebay and customize your bike as you want to.

I wouldn't mind seeing a pic or two of that old 1978 you started on..


#1 mod would have to be the no-cut frame sliders imo.

Congrats on the bike. Welcome to the forum. I did not ride much all winter and now taking it on I feel like a kid with a new toy all over again although I did notice my comfort level with my bike is 10X stronger. I find myself going full throttle 90% of the time its such an awesome machine.

First, congratulations on purchasing one of the best bikes there is. I know, that sounds kind of strong, but I honestly feel that way about the FZ6R. It's such a wonderful compromise between a true sport bike, and everything else. It does everything so well.

If one were lucky enough to fall in love in high school, then consummate that love in the most wondrous way you can personally imagine... Now put that feeling into a machine. It's a stretch, I know. But that's what the FZ6R is.

She's everything you ever wanted, she'll do anything you ask, and then she's got more to give. Eventually, you may outgrow her, maybe not. If you ever move on, though... You will always compare every lady to her. She really is that good.

As for mods? IMHO she doesn't need any. Fender eliminators, exhaust, low profile LED signals. All good. Just not really necessary in my opinion. She's pretty darn near perfect.

I'd suggest a GoPro camera. I just got one and I'm stoked about it. Welcome to the forum!
