NEED HELP with these Brake Lines!!

so i ordered Galfer steel braided brake lines from Pazzo Racing Levers, CRG Mirrors, Speedo Healers, Sportbike Rearsets, Galfer, Sportbike Puig Windscreens :: Podium Superbike Inc. and they sent me the WRONG lines FZ6 ones to be precise. i called but there closed for the night so i leave a message but the more i look at these lines they dont seem like legit Galfer Brake lines

the packaging is just a long tube shape plastic and the ink on the lines were it says Galfer the "G A L" are cut off a bit from the top.

i attached the brake lines i got and the packaging ive seen with galfers brake lines kit

the last image is what i expected and see at my local dealers which has me feeling unsure about these specially the importance of being able to brake

im so f-ing pissed right now :rant:

Look like proper brake lines to me. I won't worry too much about the packaging. If you order directly from them, maybe they use that kind of packaging to cut cost. The rubberize hose over it is just to protect it from rubbing on your bike. I was doing my own on my racecars and we used heat shrink to put over the lines to make sure they don't shaved through wiring looms or anything else. Look at the fittings! Put them on with new crush washers, bleed the brakes and clean everything very good then do a pressure check (brake as hard as you can and hold the pressure) and check for leaks, VERY important!!! Never expect even if they are made of gold, to be perfect. Once in a very little while one go bad, inspect!

Those won't blow up in a big ball of fire like in the movie...lol It will just leak at the fitting for a while before it pop out.

Don't worry too much, 3/4 of all the crap we use these days is Made in China anyway...

well my main concern was i paid for Glafer brake lines and according to galfer the packaging should include everything u need and bike model specific instructions and this didnt come with any intructions
no it wasnt direct from galfer but looking at galfers website and doing some research now that i got off at work. It should work and according to thier website most of thier brake lines dont fallow the stock root.

So with that, anybody got picks of there bikes with Galfer lines and do they fallow the stock root?

Sorry just had to comment ; it is route not root , root is of a plant or OS main directory , route is a way of travel . :thumbup:
I do mistakes like that a lot as well .

I had the same concerns when I got my Galfer lines off eBay, but even though it says FZ6 they still fit our bikes.

They do route differently than the stock lines. Both lines attach to the master cylinder and then go to the right/left calipers, instead of how the stock ones have one line going from the MC to the right caliper and a shorter line going from the right caliper to the left over the fender.

As long as they included all three banjo bolts and crush washers you should be good to go. The long banjo bolt is used to connect both lines at the MC and the shorter bolts at each caliper. I used a zip tie to keep the lines together in the middle just over the fender, but that's just because I'm anal. I'll see if I can get some pics up in a bit for you.

yea i put them on after i talked to galfer and they told me not to worry and they would honor the lifetime warranty, which was what i was really worried about.

There amazing in every way. Such a huge difference
