Not trying to be a doushe, but now it just kind of seems like your bragging. I understand for learning purposes, but wouldnt you generally either keep it for your own purposes, or upload it to a weight lifting forum rather than a motorcycle forum?

Bragging? It's only 135 lbs lol.....

When I post a video of me lifting 405 - 8 plates, then MAYBE someone could say I was bragging a little....

I posted it because this is the BAR section

so.. are you the guy in red, or black? I would assume black, but when you assume, sometimes people end up pregnant.. So, I am just making sure.

Even though its warmup, you are going tooo fast. Slow and more control, but I warm up with 135 . If someone has been working out for a while 135 is a breeze, not bragging its just usually what most guys at the gym warm up with. I assume you are stretching before even the warmup.

freeweights is where its at

Why is everyone all up in his Arse....

If the guy warms up with that much weight (almost my body weight) let him warm up with that much weight. If you have nothing nice to say don't say it at all.

Anyways Anthony I would like to see a vid of you lifting 8 plates.

Also do you have any workout routines you would like share with us noobs

I'm not saying what he is doing is incorrect, I'm just saying 25 reps is not needed.

It's easy for him, then why waste the time and energy at 135 for that many reps when he could be using it towards sets at 85-94% of a 1rm.

JT, I had really good success with this program. Take a look at it and give it a try. Bodybuilding.com - Jim Stoppani's 12-Week Shortcut To Size I have all 48 worksheets in a PDF and DOC files. I can email them to you if you want them.

i dont see how its a waste, after properly stretching i also do around 20 slow reps with 135 to warm up the shoulder muscles as well as the chest and tris. getting the tendons all warm is never a bad idea before going heavy weight

I guess I just never know what threads around here will cause a controversy...

As far as WHY I do it that way it's fairly simple. Because I WANTED to :)

Everyone who works out regularly has their own opinions on what is proper & what is not. I do what I THINK works for me. But to answer your question, it loosens me up both mentally & physically before adding weight. That simple! I did it somewhat quick because I thought my camera would fall over. Also, I did it originally to see if my overall form was ok.

But to debate it?

Seeing the replies I may just start an "Anthony's work out thread" :D;):p

:mikebike:

Hey, If it works for ya, keep doing it.

I agree, hell, I can do 135 without issue and I haven't worked out seriously in many years.

Just curious though, what's with the extreme low quality of video, it was only offering a 240p option for the video quality. That's a bit ridiculous, i mean at least 480 would be acceptable.
