My New Toy

Well, I was able to get the 2009 FZ6R as mentioned in this thread:

http://www.600cc.org/forum/f87/bad-idea-26744/

And per the advice of all in that thread, I changed the oil right after I purchased it. The only issue was getting the filter off -- and I had already read all the oil change threads, and had two filter wrenches, neither of which worked. So it was the screwdriver method ...

Anyway, I haven't ridden it at all due to the rain (except for test drive and pre-oil change warm-up), but will soon. The bike has 2,300 miles, and I paid $5,200 on a private sale.

It's bone stock, never been dropped, and in great shape. First few mods will be:

Sliders
Rim stripes
Tank pad

Oh, and here's a picture I snapped in between rainstorms:

Congrats on the new bike... looks great...

Not to rain on the parade here, but looking back historically on what color is REALLY fast (not to mention Graham’s 4th Law: Red things are Fast!):

The quintessential Ferrari:

Kerry King of Slayer's insanely fast red axe:

Of course, there is:

And, then there's the fastest Fizzer:
