hmmm, well I started my own thread... but, I am an official Marthy Member now too!
now if this stupid cold (sickness, not weather) would go away I could ride some more. Got out the first week almost every day. So far, all my riding friends have been impressed. One said they thought it was even louder than their GSXR-600.... and I informed them, "that's with the db killer in it"

I went to a bike night 2 weeks ago with my wife. I rode with a little group of squid (1/4 mile behind them... you know me!) One of them really like the way my bike sound.

Will be doing a youtube video of how it reacts too the o2 sensor, and also I will be doing a vido with the Hero too see if there is any drop or increase in power.

That would be very interesting to see how the ECU will compensate fuel delivery with the O2. With the DBK the stock map work fine. You should try it without it to see how she runs...

I was just thinking...
The Christmas Holiday is around the corner. Been working my boody off this year between my full time job, side work in Miami and exhaust. Not including my race camp in Road Atlanta working 15-20 hrs a day for a whole week. I will take some time off during the holiday. I have one week left of vacation at work and greatly in need to shut down and take some real time off. So basically I won't take any orders pass December 15th until the new year. And by experience January is my busiest month at work, so just so much I can do.
Not quite sure what's on the schedule but I'm sure my wife will figure it out...lol

Well since we all made it through the end of the world I would like to thanks everyone that joint the Marthy Exhaust Group this year... all 24 of you! Hope 2012 has been as good for all of you as it been for me. If not I'll wish you a much better one for the up coming 2013.
For the few of us that are bless by riding 12 months a year, ride safe during the holiday season. Plenty of drunk and stupid out there.
I'll be most than likely "off line" for the next week or so. I might peak here and there but mainly I need some rest and to disconnect from work. Doing nothing is a good thing sometime.
On that note, happy holidays to the whole 6R family!!!

Hope you have a nice relaxing time off Martin. Sounds like you been burning the candle at both ends. I'm hoping my wife contacted you about a viper system and isn't going to make me wait until my birthday in February.

Marthy just made a system for someone in Australia with the O2 sensor hook up, but since he couldn't test with an O2 sensor he doesn't know how the ECU will compensate. The user he made it for is in this thread and is supposed to make a youtube video. You definitely won't need the PCV with or without the O2 if you use the DBK.
Marthy or anyone else out there with a Viper system I have a quick question. I've listened to Youtube video clips with Viper cans with and without the DBK and the sound quality makes it difficult to discern any real difference. How much of a difference is there with and without the DBK? Is it a substantial difference. Hate to spend extra money on the DBK if it doesn't reduce the sound too much. Gonna order the Viper for my birthday in February. Gonna install my PCV and Driven block offs before then along with my battery tender since I have them all already.
The volume is easily 2x or 3x without the dbk. It sounds much better but draws a lot of attention. I also suffer chronic headaches and migraines, but after about 10 min with no dbk I get a headache.
Ok, thanks. I guess I'll go ahead and get it and try it both ways. Don't want to attract unwanted attention from Leo's. Although I can hear most sport/supersports around here well before I can see them. May have to wear my earplugs. Gotta wear them at work anyways.

I just finished my christmas marthy package install and Iv been out for a few hours. NO DBK on my system.
If you live somewhere that has a noise regulation, you will be violating it.
If you don't want to ride a mini formula 1 car, get the DBK.
I like mine stright no DBK but I usually am out of the city, and it helps to have an FOP on my tags.
I would say to anyone if they are on the edge of getting the DBK, then YOU are a person who wants a DBK, get it.

For most of the time it's ok without it. But a 3-4 hrs ride without one make you feel like you just walk out a rock concert. 1/2 of it is wind noise. I have one and plan of using it on my next big trip. So I don't have to wear earplugs 12 hrs a day for a week strait! LOL
You can always buy it later on. I mod them a bit so they are not as restricted but it's easy to do. All you need to do is drill a small hole to fit a metal screw to secure the DBK.
Okay, sounds good. Will be ordering at the end of January. Probably gonna just get it with the DBK so I can try it both ways.

Back to normal schedule... Hope everyone had a good holidays. I had a great time with some moment of great abuse, little sleep but mostly got a lot of rest and that was great!

For those of you in Illinois, once the white crap all melt down remember that popping a wheelie will cost you $1000.00 starting Jan 1st. Still a pretty good deal compare to Florida.
