Someone else might know better than I, but my dealer told me when I picked mine up that as long as i kept the original little metal ID tag that came with the bike's ignition set, that you could order a replacement one to be made by providing proof of ownership and the code on the ID tag. Otherwise, it requires a new ignition set. Some people write the tag number inside their owners manual or tape the tag itself inside the manual, just in case.
