Is it worth getting a K&N air filter?

Everybody seems to upgrade their air filters to K&N, but at £40...is it worth it?

Does it really make much difference?

I have yet to do this on the bike but all 4 of my vehicles have it. The selling point for me is this...... lets say it costs 20 bucks for a replacement, you change it every 10K, and you own it to 100K...... The filter paid for itself 4 times already

I don't know I hear a lot of people say you get like 1 extra horse power but who is going to notice that, but since a regular one is about 20 when the original one needs to be replaced im going to get a K&N because everyone seems to think they are better whether they improve power or not. $34 including shipping on amazon.

I agree with with Greg and JT. I also checked with my Chief Mechanic at my shop. He said keep your money in the bank. Not much gain on replacing it with K&N air filter unless it's dirty or required during your maintenance service.
