This is the problem with the U.S... Although we enjoy liberty, freedom, and the right to bear arms, as a whole, our nation generally lacks "respect" and "ethics," compared to other civilized countries. Everything is about violence and shooting up someplace... It's a national disgrace.
For example, when the telescope lens at Mt. Wilson was shipped by railroad from the easy coast to west coast, they had to bullet proof it up the yin yang- afraid that stupid hick farmers & asdhole kids would take pot shots at it as it travelled across the country.
It was one of THE historical break-throughs of astronomy science at the time. Yet, as a nation, a large uneducated and stupid chunk of the population saw it little more than as a moving target to shoot at.
Is it any surprise we have so many public shootings?
