So this happened a few months ago, but I kinda forgot about it till just now.
I put my Cortech tailbag on my Street Triple for the first time to go to the store to get a six pack of Dos Equis (yum!). I get to the store and sling it over my shoulder, buy the beer, and come back out to my bike. I put the tail bag back on the bike, put the beer in and away I go.
I usually take the back roads to this particular store where the speed limit is 35 mph, but due to construction, I have to take the highway. Well I figure if I'm on the highway, I may as well open it up (new bike remember). So coming down the ramp to the highway I punch it and am well over 100 mph in a flash, and since my exit is the very next one, I'm there in a few seconds.
I get home, get off the bike, and go to grab my tail bag. Only... it's not there. Then I realized that when I connected the bag's built in bungees to each other like I normally do on the the FZ6R, I didn't connect the front ones in front of the exhaust hanger, but behind it. And with my fender eliminator recently installed there was nothing other than friction holding the bag in place, so my little burst of speed combined with the weight of the beer was too much for it and off she went.
I wonder what the cars behind me were thinking? ( :squid: )
 :disapprove:
And in case you are wondering, I did not go back to get it. I figured at that speed it would have been all scuffed up, not so mentioned soaked with beer. I hate littering, but I wasn't in the mood to go searching for it.
