Maybe this should be an opportunity to MERGE the two boards (FZ6 + FZ1). I think it is a great marriage of sites. Anyone else think the same as I do on this one?

Might be a great idea now that we have the FZ6, FZ6R and FZ1, how about FZ-FORUM? Not a bad idea at all!

wow i can honestly say that i did not see that coming.... so let's get this straight....

Go to dealer with v-star a week ago, get very mad at the dealer and jump through hoops to get the v-star fixed. Go to pick up v-star with FZ-6. say... Keep the v-star and by the way take the FZ6 back too....

Leave with FZ1 and FZ6R?

very nice bike, and i can't wait to try them (both) out :)

Well, I did say my beef with them was with Service and that the Sales and Finance folks are still the best around. :D Michele had a lot of fun beating them up and arguing back and forth. She actually got the sales guy to near hostile at one point. The sales manager came out to see who he was dealing with. I was just laughing the whole damned time! I couldn't believe she pulled off this deal.

Now we need to travel out to see you three! :D

And how does the frog feel about all this nonsense?

Wow, congratulations on the bike! It was nice knowing you Eric, we're going to miss you around here. Have fun with your new FZ1 friends...

:justkidding: !!! I know you're not going anywhere! Congratulations on the bike; she's beautiful, and it sounds like you were really ready to upgrade. Enjoy!!

Very nice bike! I sat on one the other day at the dealership and it was niiiice. Feels similar to the FZ6 but more "girth".

I'm curious as to how much insurance jumps from the FZ6 to the FZ1?

Thanks Travis! :D Good one! Well, at least there is still an FZ6(R) out in the stable!

BryanDH, I did get quoted on this last year when I was debating on the FZ1 or 6 issue. I'm about $286 a year now for 100/300/50, 1000 medical, 100/300 um 100comp ded. and 500 coll ded.

annual premium = for FZ1 with Eric as oper. = $424.

my insurance on the bike finally dropped a lot this year, and one of my big reasons for keeping with a 6 was insurance costs, might have to re-explorethe options someday.

It helps if you're an old "Grandpa" like me. ;)

Liberty Mutual is purely by engine size. They don't quote in NH based on the type of bike. Her V Star 650 was higher than my FZ6! So, her's will drop while mine goes up. Still not a bad rate for higher-than-normal coverage! :D

Can't wait to see it at this year's get together! We are getting together for another white mountain spin, right?

Tom! I see you posted about not being around so I have to go read that now. See what you've been up to?

Well, I'd like to see another trip. Should it be the same trip or do we pick a new route/place? I am always up for a tour! :D

Funny thing happened when we went to get the wife's V Star today. We needed inspection stickers for both bikes.... So, we rode two-up on my bike to go get hers.

Well, I'll keep it short. Let's just say that I am no longer an FZ6 owner. You see... this OTHER Cobalt Blue bike was staring at me the whole time I was there. Finally, I went over to see what it wanted. I looked her over and asked what she wanted. She was blunt... she wanted ME to ride HER! I spoke to her and explained that
I couldn't ride her unless I bought her and that meant giving up "the other woman" but she was OK with that. I was unsure.... I mean, THIS girl was bigger! She was quite a looker but not as lean and trim as "the other woman" but dead-sexy just the same. Well, she won my heart over.... I'd like to introduce my new Lady tonight....

Sounds like you were seduced pretty easy there Eric.....must have been flirting with idea for some time! LOL!

She started it. I was set on getting an inspection... Couple flashes with the turn signals and when I actually turned and looked, she gave me the high beams, totally flashed me! That was when I went over to say Hi. The rest, well, I can't go into details but lets just say I'm GLAD "the other woman" was all the way out the back of the building!

I'm even MORE happy that I got Michele into a sport bike though! :D NOW she understands why I like corners.... FINALLY!

She got this helmet too.

you're too easy! LOL and tell her.... I love that helmet!

Congrats on the new bike man!!!

...Stupid break-in period! lol ;)

She ordered this for me yesterday... Happy Father's Day!

NICE! The exhaust is going to look and sound great!

The Shoei Flutter is a very cool helmet. My wife has one in pink.

And I forgot to ask?!?!?
When will you be bringing the wife around to meet all of us?
Another (female) FZ6 member to our forum :steve:

Congratulations on the new bike Eric! I love the FZ1s. I wanted to get the black one when I was looking for a new bike last year but got talked out of it by the sales manager. I just loved the gold front shocks.

Anyways, glad that you stayed with the Faster Blue even on the FZ1! I see that you have golden wheels? Does that come standard with the cobalt blue? Sweet looking bike.

-Manas.
