If you don't know maybe you should bring it to the bike shop. As a rider I agree that you need a minimum of mechanical skills to make sure everything stay in place. But for your own safety, please don't get there. Brakes are kind of an important feature on your cycle. If you don't put them back together properly it will end up in a bad ending story...
I am totally agree with Marthy, you should have to take in to the bike shop, they will remove brake pads properly, but be sure that brakes are important for you.

I say google it a little, watch a vid or two, take notes, and get in there elbow deep. School of hard DIY knocks.

Take pics along the way, don't be in a hurry, stay sober during, and post up questions if you hit a roadblock, there's tons of people here that can help you out, especially if you have in-process pics.

Just don't force anything, and don't squeeze the brake lever when the pads are off, unless you want to spend an aggravating 1/2 hour pushing the pistons back in place.
