How much of your money is spent on gas?

I was curious about this & started tracking it, below is mine. I know there are many variables in this like price of gas, miles driven, size of engine in vehicle, etc. Also, my wife used more than half of the gas i put in the truck except in Dec. & Jan. which are bad weather months for us.

Dec: Truck $97.42 Bike $40.18 = $137.60
Jan: Truck $132.10, Bike $27.13 = $159.23
Feb:Truck $56.00, Bike $69.52 = $125.52
Mar: Truck $54.25, Bike $51.30 = $105.55
Apr: Truck $65.25, Bike $80.76 = $146.01
May:Truck $15.00, Bike $70.52 = $85.52

I've tracked 32 fill ups since 2/25, for a total of 4769 miles. I've spent $347.65 on fuel at an average cost of $3.57 per gallon. Using just the numbers for March, April and May, I average $112.37 per month on fuel.

I haven't been tracking my car. It just sits, unless I need to get something that requires it. Then I put in a few gallons to try to keep it above empty, lol.

Look on the bright-side - you guys are still paying half what we pay in the EU.

Here in England, gas/petrol is £1.35 a litre, so about $7.88/US Gallon. It's putting a real strain on the economy. Diesel is even dearer at $8 a USgallon.

I don't own a car now, my XJ6 is my sole mode of transport - a car is becoming a luxury again, if you don't have to have one.
