I know the 55w has 40% greater output but will it overload and or melt the housing? I'm thinking I should just get the 35 watt HIDs.

I'm also torn between DDM tuning and Krypton bulbs. Who should I order from?

EDIT:
Ok so Im looking to go with Krypton and this is the kit I selected: H4 Bi-Xenon Slim Ballast HID kit http://www.kryptonbulbs.com/HID-kits/HID-Kits/H4-Bi-Xenon-HID-kit

Its set for the Single bulb and the extended wire and I'm going with 8k.

The only real question I have is, are these lights high AND low? or just low? cause I want the kit to be high and low beams.

Get the 35W bulbs. 55W bulbs are very hot and can melt your housing.

As a side note I got the 35W 8000k HI/LO ones from DDMtuning and it blew a fuse my first week and died on me after the first season.

Living in Canada they would not honor their warranty.
Just some food for thought.

I went with krypton bulbs and got the 35w 8000k H4 Bi-Xenon kit with extended power cable. Came out to 53$

Good choice. a 55W kit would probably be just fine in a bike housing, but i would go 35W to be safe. Even though a 55W is 40% brighter than a 35w, a 35w is still 300% brighter than a halogen bulb. 8000k is too blue for my tastes, but hopefully you like it! Good thing is, even if you decide to change the color at some point, replacement bulbs hardly cost anything at all.

*Not stock = not legal* but if you angle them right and don't give them another reason to pull you over, you should be fine.

As I said in another post, the legality of the kits themselves doesn't really matter. The main reason any sort of aftermarket lighting attracts attention is color. That's why so many tuners get harrassed on the streets. a 1993 civic didn't come stock with purple headlights. lol. If you go HID, keep the color somewhat natural. Anything below 4-4300K is too yellow, and anything above 6000K is too blue. I always get 5000K HID's, which are insanely white and clean looking, never had a problem
