HID Hi/LO Reverse Question

Reading the forums I was really interested in HID for the FZ6R but was concerned that halogen's are better during the day time where I do the bulk of my riding. I did ended up buying a DDM kit for my car. Great at night.

Reason why I didn't buy for the FZ6R as during the day it's my opinion that the halogen bulbs are more visible.

I'm wondering if the dual bulb HID setup can be setup in reverse?

I want the normal Halogen beam during the day and then flick the switch and get HID for the night.

Another idea is to use the high beam during the day but prefer normal beam during the day.

Unless you get another set of externally mounted lights, in a nutshell, no.
Our headlamps are dual-filament, single bulbs (H4), so it's a one shot deal. :(

Creative idea though. If I had two headlamps, I'd run the low beam as a yellow bulb (like a fog light for a car), and the high beam as a HID.
