Almost certain the truck was past the lines. I hate those kind of things happening especially when it's two up. Makes me worry about when wifey is riding with me.

I used to ride the left of the lane exclusively. Everything we've read and learned teaches us that it's safer.

Except it's not always so. I ride in the left of the lane, because it's smart to do so. Here's the big however: Cagers are stupid. I'm just guessing, but I'm betting that guy was not paying attention to what was going on around him, or he would have edged over, well before that incident.

It's all about flexibility. We ride a sport bike. Stay flexible, be safe.

can't tell for sure, but it does not look like a blind curve. the motorcyclist should have seen it coming way before it happened. That leads me to believe that the 4-wheeler swerved into the motorcyclist at the last second.
Hard to tell with the rearward facing camera.

The biker was about as far over in his lane as he could have been, without going off the shoulder...

ok then did the 4-wheeler just take the curve wide or did he/she swerve into the motorcycle. If the 4-wheeler was going wide, the motorcyclist could/should have picked that up a lot sooner and adjusted. Again, hard to tell with the rearward facing camera, but it could very well have been a last second swerve by the 4-wheeler and the motorcyclist reacting quick enough to save at least 2 lives.

To me, it didn't look like they were that far over in the video. It shows very clearly on your screencap. You're right.
