Good Glove Price

Was shopping for some new gloves, and based on my research, thought that the Cortech Vice 2.0 gloves would fit the bill for me. Did some shopping and found a great deal on them here, and thought I would share:

I'd highly recommend a full gauntlet glove. Not a bad price, but there are plenty of full gauntlets on there as well in that price range...

I currently have the S&S I picked up a while back and a pair Chad gave me (looks like they only offer one full this year, the lock and load), but have been keeping my eyes out for AS SP1, SP2 or SP3.... occasionally will find them at the $60-90 range.

mostly though, any reputable brand that fits you... try them all on if you can. I have tried and like some of the Joe Rocket gloves and some of the Cortech as well. Some are made for "street" use, some for "track"... track ones can be stiff as heck, not too great for long rides, but for short "spirited" riding, you'd want them.

just don't get the glove addiction like Chad and wind up with like a pair for every day of riding (in a month :eek:... j/k)

Did you know that there are more bones and nerves in your hands than any part of your body? When you have any type of hand injuries, the hospital usually sends u to a hand specialist immediately... For this reason i recommend buying the best, most protective gloves within your budget.

Teknic Lightning Gloves
Check the bottom of the palm in this glove. The idea is very similar to the wrist guards for rollerblading - hard plastic so the hand meeting the pavement does not stop and transfer all the energy to the wrist join, but slides instead.

my cousin has the cortech gloves. i've tried them on. they fit pretty good and have good protection.

If you're concerned about gloves, I'm going to assume you're concerned about protection. The point with full gauntlets is that if you go sliding down the road (you've seen those videos) then the full gauntlet covers up the space where the jacket sleeve slides down.

When flesh meets pavement, the pavement wins. A full gauntlet-style glove covers the flesh when it meets that nasty asphalt.

I got my hybrid leather/mesh Sedici's at CycleGear for $50. I would like them to be longer at the wrist, but they fit my budget, have hard-knuckle protection, leather where it counts and are well ventilated. Here's a link:
