FZ6R Gas tank ?

Is the tank metal so I can use a magnetic tank bag on it or is that a plastic cover over it..

Sounds like a dumb question but I am about 40 miles from the dealer and when I rode one a couple weeks ago I never thought to check on that.

I am picking one up tomorrow and I wanted to take a small magnetic tank bag to carry a few items.

Thanks, I am going from a Vstar1100 to the FZ6R. Been riding many years.

I am thinking I will want the taller windshield and enough luggage to carry rain gear and some tools.

Might be interested in lowering it 1/2 inch or so but I'll wait a week or so before deciding on that.

If you're going to be using a tank bag, I can definitely reccomend this tankslapper tank top cover!

It is a bastard to get on right, but once on =no more micro scratches to the paintwork
+++it is clear so it is not unsightly on the bike


They have other protecting films for the rest of the bike too

Your town doesn't look far away.I'm from Greensburg In, Leem00 is a little closer.

Leem00 has the Puig Double Bubble windscreen and a nice top end set of Givi hard luggage (among other mods), I think he even has a set of soft saddle bags for sale.

I've got the clear Yamaha Raised Bubble windscreen, a Motocentric tank bag and Nelson Rigg soft saddle bags (among other mods).
