fz6r first ride, already a rattle?

finally insured my bike and took it out for the first time, was really nice. i was stoked to take it out for a first time i put 11 km on it today. but almost immediately at cruising speed i noticed the fairing buzzing and rattling... im not overly impressed given the performance of the yamaha shop so far. i know if i leave it with them it will take forever to get fixed, or not at all. its a long story but theyve been jerking me around since i bought the bike. i can honestly say i love the product, hate the service there. is there anything i can do to fix it myself and dodge a potential headache?

I had the same thing with mine a couple of weeks ago. I revved it in the driveway for a while to isolate the buzz. It sounded like it was coming from the windscreen. Tightened the screws (carefully) and no more buzz. Maybe tighten all the fairing screws, very carefully so as not to strip them.
