When I woke up this morning, I decided to upgrade my 2012 FZ6R exhaust.
So here I am, wondering which exhaust I should get...

First of all, I live in Canada, and the price for a TBR exhaust is 1.5k$ CAD + taxes, which is more than I can afford at the moment.

So here are 2 solutions I've seen on the interwebz:

1. I've read that other people take the headers of an older R6 and put a slip-on. Or can I just keep my current headers, cut before the can and the put a slip-on? (I would need and adapter or something)
What are the weight savings and performance gains and how does it sound? Which slip-on is better and how much will it cost?

2. I've also read that people decide to go with Marthy's exhaust. On his website I see that only the Delkevic DS-70 is available ( is there another one avalable? I don't really like the design) and it will be US $375 to ship to Canada. So basically,it's an exhaust from another company and it comes with an adapter for the FZ6R pipe, so it's the same as the first solution? (Not trying to be mean or anything Marty, I just want to be informed before I make a decision) Yes this seems as an easy solution, but is there a better one?

The more information you can provide me, the better!
Thank you!

Bummer. I was planning on figuring out if I wanted to try Marthy's solution closer to winter so I wouldn't have the bike out of action when the weather warrants riding. I figure pulling off the headers and installing the kit over the winter was the best bet.

Oh well. Good luck in your next project Marthy. I'm new to the FZ6R and the forum but sounded like you helped out a ton of folks with your exhaust solution. I've ran across a lot of other helpful stuff you posted searching on this forum and you've had a lot of content that was very helpful to me. Can't wait to see what else you figure out next.
