Front fork spools?

I'm deploying soon so i'm needing to winterize the bike. Already planning on getting T-Rex spools for the rear, got front and rear stands, but i'm short on front spools. How do you guys have that have your bike jacked up all winter do it? Can't seem to find the spools, just trying not to let the bike sit on tires for 6-8 months. Let me know, Thanks

Theres a few types of front stands, the style i own just cups the bottom of the forks.It works but its a little sketchy getting used to them.Its $30 for the front stand, or for $60 you can get both as a combo.

Theres also a triple tree style front stand, but I can't comment on how well it works. If you buy the combo then you can buy the triple tree attachment seperately to work with the combo.$53 for Venoms triple tree stand or $30 for the attachment for the normal stand.

I didn't realise I can get that triple tree conversion part, thanks for bringing the topic up.Im going to order one to try out.

I recommend a triple tree lift stand; no spools needed either.
If you decide to move the forks or pull them off for service, you will already have to correct stand. To me, it feels more stable as well.

yea I bought the generic stand but thing is shady I had to put a few things under my headers incase it would slip or something

yes, triple tree the way to go, just don't forget to remove the horn bracket first (it's just right in the way!!!)
and you'll need a 21mm pin.

I know this is an old reply Don, but I was thinking of getting a headlift stand (Venom to match my rear spool stand) and remember seeing this thread about the 21mm pin. Question is, where the F*** is the hole for the pin? I was looking under there yesterday trying to see if I wanted to go that route and didn't see the hole. Why would they put the F***er behind the horn bracket? My front is lowered for my clipons too which probably made it harder to see.

The hole is is located in the middle of the lower triple tree, and I do believe there is a plastic cap covering the hole.

Thanks, let me go give here a looksie. Kind of hard to see in the garage. Do you use a triple pin lift? If so do you really have to move the horn bracket to use it? I guess for the amount of times you actually need to use it not really a big deal to move the bracket.

Okay, found the co**su**er! Anyone confirm having to move the horn? Also anyone use the headlift with a lowered front end?

yes, horn is in the way... just did my fork seals..... Some day I'll remount it so I don't have to move it every time.

shouldn't matter how much you have lowered front, but mine's not , so can't confirm
