Actually the green square screw driver is the better option. The red one as a bigger square and will lean out the fuel mixture too much. :zombie:

Hi all.... first post and first mod!

Had to try this in order to change the stock sound of this thing. I've only had the bike for a month and am anxious to begin on a list of mods I've seen and read about. Anyways, here is a before and after vid on this one. Can't say what is right for anyone else on here but I'm glad I did this... noticeable difference w/o anything too radical.

FYI - I started the hole with a flathead screwdriver and hammer then worked it up to the size of the extension you see.

I shipped around the globe. Best way to do it is buy a used exhaust in the USA then I will ship everything to you. Or I have a DIY kit that you can buy. All you need to do is cut your exhaust at the weld mark and get the adapter weld on. The kit comes with the adapter, Danmoto shorty with DBK. Work with or without a PCV.

This is a good, free and easy mod. Spending $400 or $1000 will get you a better exhaust, no doubt, but those considering the free mod shouldn't be discouraged by the negative posts. It's harmless, so why not. I'd rather drill than hammer in the holes, though.

not going to lie, I've been sitting around the house board out of my mind since i got laid off... and just did this shit.... sounds stupid to do but it does sound better than the stock exhaust....for shits and giggles i got a fake blow off valve whistle and put it on the bike..... honestly its stupid but sounds pretty cool lol

I thought about doing it as well before I got my Marthy Viper. I know your laid off, but when you get working again you should grab a Marthy kit. Just have to pay for the welding unless you have the means and know how to do it yourself. I bought my own PCV and Driven block offs and then ordered my system from Marthy. Surprised the wife let me and love it.

Hey, how have you been? Hope thing ($$$) get better for you soon... regardless if you get an exhaust or not. Been there before and it sucks. I'm riding a good waive now but know it can end any days. After my 4th beer almost gone, I don't think I can do good business decision now... LOL Cheers! Need a 5th one now... will sleep very good!:facepalm:
