So i was thinking of getting the SW-motech frame sliders. I was wondering if anyone knew how good they are and if i need to do alot of cutting to my fairings. Also i have an 09 and the sw motech say they are for the 2010 and 2011 version, wont they fit mine??

I just installed frame sliders on mine last week and I had to cut holes my sliders only required a 1 1/4" hole. If you have a drill making the hole is simple, just go buy hole cutter like this 1-1/4 in. Bi-Metal Hole Saw-49-56-9664 at The Home Depot just make sure the one you get has a pilot bit. Also im not sure if every frame slider is the same but for mine the underside of the fairings had a raised circle which is the exact center for the hole you need to make. Hope that helps.

I have the Yamaha OEM sliders for the bike, which do require cutting.
It's easier than people make it out to be. Mine came out real clean.

Get what you think looks better.

My experience was just like ChrisQ0904.

Not sure if you can see the raised circle or not but hope these help.

Was there any rough plastic edges? Or did the sliders come with rubber grommets? If they come with grommets I could probably stomach it, but otherwise Id see the rough edges every time I looked at it.
