Fork seals and warranty

Went and checked fork. No oil! So do you guys think its all ok? If it was a seal leaking surely there would be oil coming out by now?

Soooo my hubby has the 2011 Fazor8....yesterday he noticed some oil on the garage floor and down the forks. Cant get it in with dealers till mid Sept.
Told him about using negative to clean it. He did and no sign of oil yet. Keeping everything crossed its ok and doesnt need to go to dealer. He had it brand new 3 months ago and has put 3k on it. Will post again with update....

why sept? earliest they had available or something?

Yes thats the earliest any of the yamaha dealers around here can get him in...after using film negative to clean and no oil, took it out for 15mins round town, tiny bit from where the residue off inside forks where pushed down but no dripping .No sign of oil over night either.... Thoughts? He's still going to take it in to get checked and piece of mind but if the seal was leaking I think oil would still be dripping out. Yes? No?
