But what does it really gain you if you do not have any mods done? For instance, I have not purchased the TB exhaust and still have stock exhaust, air filter, and everything else...

It won't really do anything for you. It's for use with an aftermarket exhaust without a catalytic converter. Aftermarket exhausts allow a lot more air to flow and will cause the bike to run lean potentially. The juice box has a stock map that is made for the TBR exhaust. You can then adjust it more if you feel the need but even then I don't think it's necessary.
