Dyno Chart Comparison FZ6R, Gladius, ER6N, Monster

Only thing that surprises me is how far behind we are on torque since the "R" has decent low end torque, then again it's the only inline 4 which is notorious for less torque but very smooth running. I'm still very happy with what we have. I only occasionally push it's limits anyways.

Doh, I should have gotten a Gladius.... NOT! :D

It's also the smallest displacement engine on the chart. Like they say, there's no substitute for cubic centimeters.

Read the comparison at mcn and motorcycle.com and it's true the 650 kaw. and 750 suk. make more power also does the Gladius on paper make more power. But none of these bikes will out run the Yamaha FZ6R from third gear on up. Quote un Quote!!

I however made a mistake about the places to look for the ninja 650r, vs sv650s vs Fz6r the web site is "beginnermotorcyclereviews.com" And yes I realize that this is a old old 2009 post. the same pro rider to test them all to get the real numbers corrected to sea level. Apples to apples comparison. At the website at the top of my post is where they test the kawa. 650r and the sv650 and the fz6r. From third gear and all through 4th gear. the kawa. 650 and the sv650 make there power at low rpm and the yamie makes its power from 8000 rpm and above typical Yamaha style for all there machines.

Hell I don't need to read it, I ride an FZ6R so I know the deal! The truth is in the ride.

Don't read it then, The hp and ft lbs don't do the bike justice, I have raced a ninja 650r and 1st and 2nd I got beat on my new FZ6R, but when I hit 3rd I pulled away from him and in 4th gear also. I have also raced a sv650s suzuki and the same thing got beat in first and second gear but past him up in third and fourth. The point is don't believe the magazine hp&tq. numbers when the actual race shows other wise. I am going to trade for the new FZ8 that just came to the USA this year, mid 11's quarter mile and 0-60 in 3.5 secs. and it's naked, "hooligan wheelie popping at 90 mph throw off" of yesteryear's R1. The last wheelie I popped cost me $847.00 dollars and 21 days in jail, licence revoked for 6 months. So I do not do 85-90mph and loft the front wheel in town anymore. At 57 years young I should know better. nuff said(-:

I ride my 6r and enjoy it. I have ridden a gladius, I will say, I enjoyed it. I rode the ninja 650r, and er6n same bike, with and without skins in a nut shell. I enjoyed them as well. I don't put down the other bikes.

I would have to say I don't need to stroke my emotional rational for buying this bike. I don't think I need to say it's the greatest bike, it is good...at just about everything. That is why I like it. The only reason I did not buy the gladius is because I wanted a little more win protection.
