Hey guys, It's been a few years since I hit the track.. Didn't do to bad with the 6R. 12.6 @ 105MPH, (2009 all stock.) Had a total of six runs, the last five were all 12.6 sec. Just couldn't run any faster.

My buddy and his dad built the Busa below. It ran at the drags.. 9.1 was the best run. This bike was also featured in sport-rider awhile back. SR Exclusive: Sims Motorsports Suzuki Hayabusa - Sport Rider Magazine It's been slightly modified since appearing in sport rider. Anyhow just wanted to share.

Ahh ok. Last time I dragged was 10 yrs ago and it was bracket racing meaning you had to guess your ET and not go faster than your guess. A perfect light was .500 and anything under was a red. Gave you an idea which side of perfect you were on...On my last day racing I hit a .496 and a .500 A painful red and a wonderful green :D

Nice job Superfly! I went to a drag strip in Union Grove WI a few times this past summer, but wasn't quite ready to race my 6R. Maybe next year.

There are some regulars that run Busa's on that track -- and the days I went - they were running 7.4's. Those bikes are unbelievable.

One of the riders from my group, Mark, races his own Busa up there (and a buddy's Busa too). He also races cars. If you're into new Mustangs - he had a Cobra on the track two weeks ago and the damn thing stood up further than I've ever seen a car pop up off the line. I'd have been terrified if I were Mark!!

Damn... Fast car.

Thread revival,

Managed a couple of runs last night,

Best run of the 1/4 mile, 12.658 @ 103.44mph

after the runs last night I think a 12.5 is possible, 12.4 might be the limit of the stock bike.

edit, Im running the XJ6n so less fairing and less aerodynamics at play

I'd love to get on a drag strip but our public night is on a Wednesday. Good times though.

Sent while running with scissors.

Our local strip runs "Whoop *** Wednesday" where you bring your ride/drive and run for the night between 6-10, and you average out about 9-10 runs for the night, and reasonably priced too.

There's even a burnout competition part way through if your in to that sort of thing.

Next stop for me is the race track, see how well goes as apparently 600s run better on the track as its so small....

san diego has Race legal at Qualcomm stadium, made 16 runs the first night. its only an 1/8th track though
