Haha yea, it be wort saving you rent $ if you can.
I cant remember what its called, but the pipe I was talking about is that black flexible stuff that kind of looks like a slinky.They make it with pre drilled holes across the top.
its called a french drain. it is perforated flexible pvc. just trench down16 inches or so lay the drain in, cover with a couple inches of rock or base and your good

nice, it rained here for almost 2 days and the ground was so dry that everything just got soaked right up. My ditch never even got hardly any water in it.....

It was crazy the roads had like an inch of water on them but the ditches were just sucking the water into the ground as fast as it was coming off the roads.
