yup I was a victim - many moons ago I thought I was hot (not fast) stuff on my then used 97 Duc 916, while a new (to me) riding bud passed me on the outside corner on his 80's something honda v45 or v65 waving ~~ when stopped he said don't worry, I do that to everyone :surrender: adding salt to wound, he also mentioned buying the bike in pieces literally as a basket case. mike, then later entered a iron butt rally and made a bet if he placed in the top 3 they could shave his head. he did, and the pics are still on the net
