So I just took my bike in for the first 600 mile break in service, and it's due for a good cleaning as well. I was reading through the user's manual, and one of the things it said to do was get a good chrome polish and some rust protectant for the exhaust etc. I've been trying to run a search here for a bit, and I've seen a lot of opinions on what washes and waxes to use, but absolutely nothing on what to do for the chrome. I've never personally owned anything with chrome on it before, and have absolutely no idea what good products are available, or if it's even completely necessary to do. I definitely want to avoid rust, though. So, thoughts, opinions, links to threads I may have missed in my search?
