Yeah, under normal circumstances, I would also wonder what they flimsy little plastic clamp did. Maybe I'll put it back on with loc-tite, zip ties, and half a roll of duct tape......I have to be helpful at least once a year right??? lol
as soon as you started explaining your problem I figured that was it considering last time I went in to change my spark plugs and air filter I forgot to put that piece back on!!! I had tank installed and I had the sets back on when I saw that last piece in my bolts / parts bucket!:facepalm::facepalm: I had to get back in there... I did think for one second ehhhh why would I even need this it wouldn't come apart.... well they put in in for a reason. and you are living proof that the piece is needed.
ill take rep as a form of repayment

JT, as soon as I figure out how to rep, I will!
Online they are $4 but shipping is $15. I just called and ordered two at my local dealer for $6 a piece. They should have them by Tuesday. I just hope I don't blow another line on my way home!!
U get home safe?Oh, and think I figured out what shook it loose! They tore up the street outside the school I teach at. All those vibes must have done it. Shame, I gotta ride over those again to get home.......
Thanks for the tip!Wow glad you didnt lay it down or have a video of a fz6r burning on the side of the road. always listen for audible click when reconnecting lines / connectors and give a tug to double check proper locking. Just a tip.
Awesome!!! Glad u can fix it soonThanks for the tip!
Oh, and that plastic piece that I ordered two of...... when I got home I found my missing one in a can of Ninja 250 parts. Oh well, at least I get to fix it today or tomorrow!!
Bikes been running well! Gas mileage still stinks, even on stock and touring maps.... the issue must be my right hand
I don't think I've ever broken 40mpg no matter how much I baby it or keep it in the 6-7k rpm range. It just likes to drink.Bikes been running well! Gas mileage still stinks, even on stock and touring maps.... the issue must be my right hand
Gas mileage? What is that?I don't think I've ever broken 40mpg no matter how much I baby it or keep it in the 6-7k rpm range. It just likes to drink.
Exactly. Not like I care. I drive a Hemi Ram that get 16mpg and a 2dr Rubicon on 35's that gets 14mpg on a good day.Gas mileage? What is that?
