Hi guys,

I just bought my 2nd hand FZ6R, the guy I bought it from crashed the front while it had only 50 miles on it. The gauge cluster was damaged and so I now have a replacement but it reads 18k miles, is there a way to reset this to the original mileage? The bike is literally brand new LOL.

Thanks!

Do you still have the original gauge and what shape is it in? One chance may be to desolder the microcontroller holding the data (distance traveled) and solder it into the newer gauge. There is risk. If the pcba rev levels are the same, you should be ok.

As stated in another post, the PCBA and components are lead free RoHS complaint so use only lead free tools for pcba repairs.
