Bad form will get you everytime.

it seems like what caused him to high side was his rear wheel losing traction & not being able to correct/ recover... he may not have the best riding form, but he looked in control up until the point his rear tire lost traction.

we can't really tell from the video if it was a bald tire or if he stepped on the rear brake to cause the skid... but, judging from the road, it looks like he might've stepped on the rear brake- as i don't see any gravel...

either way, it looks like he lost traction, corrected the handlebars direction without simultaneously engaging the throttle, and panic-braked too hard- thereby knocking the bike off balance. maybe if he accelerated while correcting the handlebars direction that might've helped stand the bike up again...

in one of the classes i took recently, the instructor taught us that when losing traction on a turn to try to remember the following things... (a) fight off all impulses to stomp on the brakes, (b) don't target fixate & roll your eyes quickly to find an escape route of where you want to go- even if it's wide & into the shoulder- and point the bike in that direction, and (c) try to ride out the slide smoothly and engage the throttle as soon as possible, because this will stand the bike up and prevent a fall/ crash.
