Attemped motorcycle theft

Someone tried to steal my Ninja 250 last night in Chula Vista. I met up with someone who was interested in buying it, but they needed to cash a check (I was only going to accept cash) so I suggested going to Wal-Mart to cash it. While we were inside, someone tried breaking my steering lock or the ignition. Thankfully, they were unable to break it and it just caused the ignition to jam up.

I called the police and waited for 90 minutes. When I called them back to see what was taking so long, they said "Sorry, we're busy, it's going to take a while."

Maybe it was friends of the guy who wanted to buy the bike trying to steal it?

I don't think that he had someone try to take it. I suggested going to that specific location and he ended up buying the bike anyway.
