Are duel exhaust pipes possible on thr FZ6R?

Seeing as this is such a great looking bike I know it seems an odd question, but in the quest to make it an FJR's little sister, what are the chances of putting duel exhausts on it? Would there be any advantage other than the look?
Marthy - any ideas or thoughts?
(And yes I did a search on the forum - everything is about singles)

possible, yes. any advantages, other than if you like the looks better, can't see any performance gains more than the avg. couple HP's you might get from a single or underneath

Just go quad pipes, straight from the headers. It'd be unique.

Even better than that... Mate my stock evo turbo up to the bike hav the exhaust dump straight out of the exhaust housing... Probably get a few ponies from that. The guys on my evo forums mentioned that one to me.

That's kinda what I'd hoped - he needs a new project anyway! Too bad we're so far apart. I'd let him play with my bike.

If i remember correctly the HP gain from a 4-2-1 is similar to a 4-2-1-2, so if you wanted to get HP gain and better looks you could do that. Other side note, if the gears are turning in someones head on this you might have a customer here, this is something ive been dreaming about for a while.

I would imagine that they would have to be run out and up the sides, like a regular exhaust. If you look at the way the stock and TBR systems are, there isn't enough room to have two cans under there...

That's what I was thinking - run them up the sides, low enough to leave room for a set of Givi hard bags. May not be worth it, he's right, but one never knows unless one tries.
Unfortunately my fabrication skills may be adequate, but I have none of the tools to do it.
I will seriously look at my bike and try and decide what to do.

Might be able to squeeze 2 GTYR can in there... one aiming left, one aiming right. 1 3/4" dia, even 1 1/2 " dia should be enough. Can get one of those in Aluminum for about $175.00 a pop if I can remember... Let me do some research today for collectors (need 2)

It might work in a 2-1 double version... Except the extra can I don't see why it would be that expensive... :thumbup:
