Anyone ever ride an SV1000?

MistahT, they are worlds apart.
Torque is where the SV1000 boots above & beyond the FZ6R.
I had mine lent over with the front wheel off the ground & rear spinning a couple times early on before I learnt to control the throttle better.
I do miss the i4 wind up, but in all honesty the twins torque has plenty of fun at safer speeds.
On my XJ6S & R6 I was spending a lot of time well above the speed limit, as the winding up of the i4 was great. But the torque of my SV1000S reaches the fun immediately, which in turn results in less speeding on my part

Thanks. There are some cheap FZ1 locally and some reasonably priced SV1000. I don't think I'll be able to make the upgrade without selling my bike first, but then all the good deals will be gone...
Both are great bikes, I test rode both before buying my SV
I just found the FZ1 too similar to the XJ6S
for me I was after the SV as I had always wanted either bike
but the FZ1 was just too similar
