Well, it was a very enjoyable, yet short, run. I've been really torn about what my 2-Wheeled future would be after my cousin's scooter crash a couple weeks ago.
(Side Note: He's healing up nicely so far, but still has to keep his jaw wired shut for a few more weeks).
Anyways, I actually took the bike out for the first time since the crash mid last week. While the ride was enjoyable, when I got back home I was still uncertain. I tried to approach the decision from every angle, sought advice from all my closest friends and family, and in the end I decided she has to go. Analyzing my situation from both a practical AND safety perspective, my car was getting old and I'm looking to buy a house in the next year or so. If I'm going to be making payments on something, it should probably be a little practical and safer. Plus, since buying a new car was inevitable within the next couple years, I figured it was wiser to get it now so that when I go to buy the house I'll know exactly what my expenses are. So while my riding career is on hold indefinitely(I may get another one in the future, who knows), I present to you my new toy that I picked up this past Saturday.
2012 Chevy Cruze LTZ. Bought her new, fully loaded. Sticker was $27k. I traded in a banged up 06 Scion tC with 105k miles on it, and ended up getting her out the door for $21k and 2.19% interest rate.
I know it's a cage, but at least its a very nice cage, lol.
Lastly, I still love this forum, so while I might not have much to post about, I will still be visiting often. I shall live on 2-wheels vicariously through you fine folks! Take care :-D
